This breakfast masterclass will provide you with an understanding of some of the more technical aspects of the new Residence Nil Rate Band, including the implications when making a Will, how best to keep below the £2m threshold and other considerations such as lifetime gifts and the implications of downsizing.

The growth in the use of Business Property Relief (BPR) based investment will be examined and analysis will be given to the different investment options in this market and the support available to assist your due diligence. You will also gain an appreciation of the merits of reviewing Wills in conjunction with BPR investment in order to achieve the best outcome for your clients.

Sam Jermy, Senior Business Development Manager – Sam is a qualified Chartered Financial Planner and has over 10 years of experience working within tax efficient investment companies. Sam has specialist knowledge of BPR investment and trust planning. Sam provides technical and proposition support to advisory businesses in the South East of England.

Camilla Bishop, Senior Associate – Camilla is a Senior Associate in the Private Client team at DMH Stallard and is based in the Brighton office. Camilla is experienced in all aspects of estate planning. In particular, she advises on wills, trusts and IHT/CGT mitigation. She has expertise in using the various reliefs available and generating tax planning wills.
