Checkpoint one - Horam, East Sussex

We have arrived at our first point. So far, we have travelled 71.86km to bring us to Horam in East Sussex, the most south-easterly solar farm in our portfolio.

We are continuing to raise money for The Silver Line, in addition to improving our own fitness. We would be delighted if you would like to support us during this challenge, and you can donate via our charity page here:

Checkpoint two - Tiverton, Devon

Our team has reached checkpoint number two! We have now covered 325.40km of our 973.79km total.

We have walked, jogged, and cycled to our most south-westerly solar farm located near Tiverton in Devon.

So far, we have raised over £1100 for our chosen charity, The Silver Line, helping to support the operation of their free helpline which supports the elderly across the UK.

Checkpoint three - Derwen, Wales

Since June 1 our team has covered an impressive 382.87km, which brings us to the third point in our challenge near Barry, in Wales. This is where we find the most western solar farm in our portfolio.

Over the course of six weeks, we are travelling to the four furthest points in our UK portfolio of solar farms to raise money for The Silver Line, our chosen charity of the year. We appreciate all of the support we have received so far.

You can see below we have Senior Regional BDM Elizabeth Greene and her family taking the challenge in their stride. Note: We are not recording ‘carried’ as a mode of transport no matter how cute the smile.

Checkpoint four - Preston, Lancashire

We have arrived at our penultimate checkpoint, Preston.
Preston is home to the most northern solar farm in our portfolio, meaning we have completed 658.53km with only 315.26km to go.

We have challenged our team to get to the four furthest Points of Our Portfolio in six weeks to raise money for our chosen charity The Silver Line, which offers information, friendship and advice to older people through its free helpline.

Fund Accountant Dean Mellows can be seen below helping to make up the distance, he has been both cycling and running to stay healthy during lockdown. Keep up the good work!

Checkpoint five - London

Finally, after covering 973.79km our team has reached the end of our challenge by going the full distance back to our Head Office in London.

It is not too late to donate to our chosen charity, The Silver Line, the only free confidential helpline providing information, friendship and advice to older people, open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Every donation is greatly appreciated by TIME Investments and by The Silver Line staff who work around the clock to be on hand for those they support.
