TIME:Social Long Income completed the long lease purchase of a Bright Horizons Day Nursery in Farnham, Surrey in December 2017. The Fund purchased the nursery for £2.1 million on a 25 year lease.

The tenant, Bright Horizons was founded to provide an innovative solution to the lack of affordable, high-quality, childcare for working families. Alongside community nurseries, Bright Horizon’s core business and expertise is employer-sponsored family care, pioneering the provision of emergency dependent care through back-up care programmes.

Farnham Nursery is brand new and offers six individual home-bases tailored to each age group. The nursery is located between David Lloyd Farnham and Farnham Rugby Club.

At the nursery, children take part in a variety of activities, appropriate for their age. For example, sensory play is a primary focus for babies as they learn about the world around them. As they grow into toddlers, role play becomes prominent, before they reach preschool age and focus shifts to more structured learning, getting the children ready for the move
to school.
