TIME Investments, a specialist real assets investment manager focused on secure income strategies, has appointed Tony van Gool to support its distribution team and further develop the growth strategy of its funds.  Previously Sales Director at Artemis, Tony has over twenty-five years’ experience successfully leading and driving growth in the asset management industry.

TIME Investments has over £4 billion of assets under management and focuses on investing in real assets such as infrastructure, property, and renewables.  Its defensive investment philosophy aims to deliver steady and predictable returns, with products suitable for financial advisers, wealth managers and institutions.

Commenting on Tony’s appointment, Simon Housden, Sales & Marketing Director and Partner, TIME Investments said: “I am excited that Tony is joining us to support our ambitious growth aspirations. We believe his depth of experience in successfully scaling funds, along with his wide-ranging network, will position us well to take our funds business to the next level.”

Tony van Gool said: “I am delighted to join TIME Investments to support their growth strategy.  The business already has an exceptional reputation in the adviser community and its funds are particularly relevant at a time when advisers and their clients are looking at alternative routes to generate reliable risk-adjusted returns.”

Recent research* conducted by TIME shows that advisers are increasingly recommending alternative investments to help replace traditional sources of income, such as equity income funds, which continue to struggle to provide attractive and dependable returns.

The findings show that a third (32%) of advisers are recommending an increased exposure to real assets such as infrastructure and real estate, one in four (26%) have increased their recommendations for investing in renewable energy, and 24% are increasingly recommending long income property.
